Big Agnes Tiger Wall Models Compared
Tiger Wall is a three-season, semi-freestanding tent family built around low weight and side entry. Capacity identifies sleeping space; Platinum, standard UL and Bikepack identify different materials, feature sets and packing priorities. Those choices should be compared within the same capacity before treating any weight difference as meaningful.

How to narrow the range
- Capacity is not a performance tier: UL1 is the one-person branch, while UL2/Platinum 2 and UL3/Platinum 3 are the two- and three-person branches. A larger number describes space, not automatic weather strength or overall quality.
- Standard UL baseline: representative catalog weights are about 0.85 kg for UL1, 0.99 kg for UL2 and 1.19 kg for UL3, with reviewed official prices of $469.95, $499.95 and $579.95.
- Platinum trade-off: Tiger Wall 2 Platinum and UL2 both normalize to about 0.99 kg in this catalog, while the reviewed list prices differ by $150. Tiger Wall 3 Platinum is about 80 g lighter than UL3 but costs $170 more. Platinum uses lighter 7D HyperBead fabric and a reduced feature set; it is not a capacity upgrade.
- Current Bikepack trade-off: UL1 Bikepack adds about 340 g and $30 over UL1; UL2 Bikepack adds about 370 g and $50 over UL2. Big Agnes lists a 12-inch Shortstik pole set, waterproof dry-bag stuff sack and bike-mounting loops as the reason to choose them.
